Solar Heat Pumps

Solar Heat Pumps use environmental heat from the air and solar heat from the sun to provide heating and hot water.

They are relatively new to the industry but are becoming the system of choice for many installers, partly because they combine the use of a technology already accepted as being efficient and economical with solar energy, but also because the utilisation of modern inverter technology make these heat pumps useable in areas where electricity supplies cannot support the power demands of some stand-alone electric heat pumps.

The ability to provide low level energy for under-floor heating, low temperature radiators or forced air systems, and with the addition of a second circuit, direct replacement of existing gas or oil boilers, makes solar heat pumps a versatile and environmentally friendly alternative for any heating and hot water system.

Solar heat pumps can also provide cooling!
